PolkaFantasy’s 2022 in Review: The Path to A New GameFi Era

🗓 January

• Fantasy Land NFTs were released! 🏰💎
• The XP-ETH-BSC-Polygon Bridge was launched, allowing users to easily swap between the three blockchain networks. 🌉
• Our native token $XP was listed on PancakeSwap and QuickswapDEX. 🪙
• Square Enix’s former CTO, Yoshihisa Hashimoto, joined the PolkaFantasy team as a Game Technology Advisor. 🎮
• We revealed Epic-tiered characters from the Fantasy Box collection: Sonia, Chloe, Guystone, Ethan. 🗣️
• We revealed the look of the battle scene for the very first time. ‍💫

🗓 February

• We announced the first lootbox event and whitelisted early supporters from previous events with premium discounts. 💰
• We collaborated with one of the amazing talents ZENTA to produce theme songs and background music. 🎵
• Fantasy Box AMA event held in Telegram JP channel. 🎙️
• The Fantasy Box event was a huge success with an overwhelmingly positive response — the legendary tier was sold out in the first two minutes. 🎁
• PolkaFantasy announced partnerships with CTIA and XCreation. 🤝
• We onboarded Sora Amamiya 雨宮 天 as our official voice actress for Ameli, Riez, Sonia. 🗣️
• We revealed Epic-tiered characters from the Fantasy Box collection: Luca, Sieg, Riez. ✨

🗓 March

• We introduced a staking option for Fantasy Lands, allowing players to earn rewards by holding onto their Land NFTs. 🌍
• The PolkaFantasy development team was restructured with additions of leading Japanese gaming studios. 💪
• We opened an exclusive member-only channel on the official Discord server. 💎

🗓 April

• Enako brought a touch of glamor to the PolkaFantasy world by dressing herself as our gorgeous Ameli. 💄
• We organized the first voting campaign to find community’s favorite character on Discord and Twitter. 🗳️
• We welcomed Miko Ito 伊藤 美来 as the official voice actress for Kate and Tiela. 🗣️

🗓 May

• PolkaFantasy’s native wallet app first went live on Android and Testflight. 📱
• The PolkaFantasy NFT marketplace was rebranded as aimée to further enable a seamless NFT experience. 🛒
• We successfully organized Race to 5K 👑 with a doubled prize pool to celebrate ahead of the aimée’s official launch. 🏃
• The Genesis Rare-tiered and Epic-tiered Characters were revamped with a new look. 💪
• Yuki Watanabe joined the team as Senior Development Advisor. 🤓
• We forged partnership with two of the leading game guilds, Samurai Guild Games and Sakura Guild Games. 🎙️
• We entered closed alpha testing of our first minigame — Mana Rush. 🕹
• We first introduced Keiji Inafune to the PolkaFantasy community and he announced the launch of his first-ever NFT collection Beastroid would be on PolkaFantasy’s native NFT marketplace, aimée. 👾
• We onboarded Yuki Kaji 梶 裕貴 as official CV for Azela , Luca, Ethan. 🗣️
• Enako brought PolkaFantasy’s character to life with her dressing as our Riez

• Coinpost interviewed our CEO and advisors on the trends of NFT games and technology. 🎤
• We shared a sneak peek of the game user interface and battle arenas. 🤼‍♂️

• The first-ever auction took place on aimée, featuring the rare “Rebirth of Rudra” NFT. 💰
• Our flagship game entered the stage of alpha testing with 6 Genesis Rare-tiered characters — setting records of 814 unique players and 3115 matches. 🚀
• New skill cards revealed. ⚔️
• We explored further on the possibilities to connect communities with Samurai Guild Games through an exclusive interview. 🎙️
• We announced Ryo Horikawa as official CV for Rudra. 🐉

• Yoshihisa Hashimoto, the former CTO of Square Enix joins PolkaFantasy as Game Technology Advisor . 🤝
• The WL minting of Beastroid collection took place. 🦖
• We co-hosted the first massive campaign with Samurai Guild Games & Prema JP — received a total of 88,090 entries
• We proudly presented an exclusive interview with Hiroshi Kamiya. 🙌
• We interacted with new communities Cryptofamily and Cryptotalkz via AMA.❤️
• A special interview with Hiroshi Kamiya, Chuni & Eiri was released in JP. 🎥

• The public minting of Beastroid collection was held. 🤖
• The Genesis character NFTs are all revamped. 🔁
• Zenogakki Twitter Spaces and Binance CN Live feature PolkaFantasy talks. 📣
• PolkaFantasy team joined Tokyo Game Show 2022. Our CEO Alex Hui spoke to YGG Japan on stage. 🎮
• We released a rare autograph giveaway: Hiroshi Kamiya x Sirius. ✍️
• We hosted an AMA with Samurai Guild Games on the big giveaway campaign. 🎙️

🗓 October

• The PolkaFantasy game entered beta testing phase 1. 🚀
• The Game Marketplace alpha is launched. 🛒
• New weapons were added to the game, giving players even more ways to defeat their foes. 🗡
• One of our leading CVs, Kiseki published her voice acting session with us in Japan. 📣

🗓 November

• The Lootbox common and rare tickets swap took place, introducing 8 new rare characters to the game. 🎁
• The PolkaFantasy Wallet app is updated to version 2 on Android & iOS.📱
• POAPs were first introduced by the team to encourage players to actively participate in the game testing and earn collective badges. 💰
• New characters were added to the game. 🆕
• CAICA Financial Holdings joined us for an exclusive interview. 🎥
• We made Fridays better with SUPER FRIDAY events on biweekly basis. The first one recorded 200+ engagements.⚡

🗓 December

• We partnered with CAICA Financial Holdings Inc. & Its Japanese GameFi Launchpad, Zaif INO.
• Our second minigame ‘The Secret Dungeon’ launched. 🕹
• 2 million $XP rewards to be distributed to Genesis Auction participants. 🎁
• We attended Web3 events “超！Bounenkai” and a meet up event hosted by Zaif. 🎈

In 2023, Let’s Look Forward To…👀

Polkafantasy team is planning to release the beta version of the Game Marketplace in Q1 2023, followed by the official launch of the game. The beta version will include new features such as fixed price sales and auctions for in-game non-fungible token (NFT) lootboxes. The official release will include additional features related to the secondary token “Zenny”. The team is preparing to release the beta version 2 of a game by the end of January in 2023. The official launch is set to be published in May 2023.

The Game Marketplace will feature quality NFTs from FantasyPad’s incubated projects and strategic partners, and will be a go-to hub for users interested in exciting GameFi. You can find more details here.
