The Blockchain BCG Legion: PolkaFantasy x XCreation x CTIA

As you may know, PolkaFantasy is joining hands with X-Creation and CTIA Japan to craft the best-ever BCG experience in the blockchain world. We envision a GameFi world, where gamers connect and meet each other through NFT art. Learn more about the collaboration through the interview here!
Q1. Please tell us more about this partnership.
Alex: While discussing ways of collaboration, I was convinced that we could complement each other, and build something even greater leveraging on the strengths of each company.
Mr. Tezuka: CTIA is mainly focused on blockchain consulting and has acquired talents from various types of industries and blockchain projects.
A lot of companies have an idea of creating their own blockchain, trying to dominate the market, and they may not be compatible with us. Alex and Kawakami-san were looking for an easy way to scale up things. I am intrigued by their vision, which was also the reason why I decided to join this partnership.
Kawakami: We started NFT services two years ago, and technically we have developed a system with competitive advantages. I have a background from the game development industry. And I see the potential of NFTs, which could be an entrance to the GameFi world and connect with users around the world. This excites me and makes me want to focus on developing games again. Alex and I share the same passion for gaming and NFTs. PolkaFantasy develops its own blockchain game, NFT marketplace and is trying to build a holistic GameFi ecosystem. For ourselves, we also have a GameFi development department and an NFT market. Hence, I am convinced that us working together could bring synergy to both parties and scale things up.
Q2. The Goal of This Partnership
ALEX: The blockchain game is still in the very early stages, simply not mature enough for everyone to get in. So the current situation is, companies want to build their own BCGs on blockchain but they cannot enter the space very easily. In the future, we want to see different companies with the expertise and know-how joining the industry! This will make the blockchain game market flourish even more with healthy competition in the future. I believe this partnership will set an example as a pioneer to show the enormous potential of the industry and hopefully inspire others to see the future of GameFi.
Kawakami: The evolution of games was incredible in the past decades. I think GameFi is one of the best outcomes, where the community and gaming ecosystems are greatly transformed.
We have a GameFi guild called “Samurai Guild Games”, but from now on, we will not only enjoy the benefits of a DAO for the gaming community and the P2E games, but also provide education for gamers and people within the blockchain space.
I felt that Japanese games including IPs gained huge popularity in the overseas market back then, but they have not been doing so well in recent days.
It’s an exceptional idea to assist PolkaFantasy to develop new and interesting games, or even to develop new games. Once the game enters PolkaFantasy’s ecosystem, our company could make good use of the traction in different ways. Please look forward to that.
Mr. Tezuka: We have the knowledge of various top crypto projects and the expertise to build token economies from a very early stage. We hope that we can build a strategic yet attractive token system for everyone to be involved.
Kawakami-san mentioned their guild just now. An interesting fact is, various guilds were born in the past or two year. Numerous existing game companies have entered the BCG field one after another, the anticipation for the market growth is now increasing at a rapid pace.
While the guild activities are getting more and more exciting, there is no guarantee or any sort of accurate prediction of what the future will be like. For example, a 20-year-old man is currently working in the guild, but who knows if he will still be working in the guild after 20 years’ time.
After many years of specialization in game development, I want to avoid the situation whereby people have no other skills and values besides gaming. We are thinking of ways to resolve such issues, and working towards a goal of providing an educational environment where users can connect with each other and improve their skills through guild activities.
In that respect, CTIA Japan and Singapore will be sending blockchain developers and providing consulting services to make the project a success.
I would like to foster a fun and collaborative work culture for my people at the company and beyond, where developers will be heavily involved in game development while playing games together. I believe our developers would benefit a lot from the collaboration. I want to initiate something interesting and get everyone to work on that in the future too.
Kawakami: I think not just the dynamics in games will change, but also the new concept of the metaverse. Many people from younger generations join “Samurai Guild Games”. I found that their core values and perception of “working”, “earning”, and “learning” is completely different from my generation.
Since the pandemic, I think the DAO idea is bringing like-minded people together and provide a better place for ideas and creativity to thrive. This would change the world. Jobs might be in the metaverse in the future. If we can include educational elements in the gaming guilds, our children will also be able to create new things under this environment.
Now is the time to build the foundation, and we would like to set a benchmark as the new generation continues to grow. We aim to inject the synergy of having us three companies to the blockchain environment where our future generations could benefit from.
Q3. Futures plans of each company
Kawakami: Blockchain is a technology that is changing the world right now. So we are expanding our business, from game development, game guild building, to metaverse. The entry barriers may still be high for normal people. However, as the Internet has become normalized and used by billions of people, this new technology is going to be common in our daily life one day too.
I would like to provide new services in the future. Japan has a lot of wonderful content and culture that I would like to share with the world using blockchain technology.
Mr. Tezuka: Japanese culture, technology, and services have been wonderful. As I have lived overseas for a long time, some parts of what Japanese people built may be underestimated.
Despite the drastic quality differences, overseas teams are generally better at promotion and related stuff. I would like to help promote amazing content from Japan to overseas. But in various games, it is not as simple as for users to buy NFTs and earn. The tokenomics matter too. I hope that people would learn a lot of things and experience a variety of options from that, this is also the reason my team is working their best on the scaling of token economies.
The entry barrier is generally lower in the entertainment industry. I hope we could approach and manifest using the features of the game to draw more people to join.
I have been involved in a business that delivers services to everyone in the world with an internet connection for about four years. If people from both developing and developed countries can enjoy gaming, while doing microfinance, while credit rating can be done, a really wonderful era will arrive.
Alex: I’m not Japanese, but I grew up under the huge influence of Japanese culture (laughs)
I wanted to send the wonderfulness of Japanese culture to the world, and from the perspective of a foreigner, I had a strong feeling about it, which was also the reason why I started PolkaFantasy.
PolkaFantasy is a crypto project, but it has one big vision. To become a bridge that connects the crypto space and the general public through blockchain.
In order to spread the recognition to the general public, we plan to collaborate with famous IPs and projects, and incorporate new games into the GameFi ecosystem.
Many people nowadays think games are just for fun and play, right? It is wonderful if you can use blockchain technology to provide “microfinance” and build a system that can help people using blockchain technology as Mr.Tezuka said.
